A letter from G. W. Maltby of Buffalo, N.Y., states: "My grand- father Chandler Maltby had two brothers, Joseph and Grove. He moved from Carthage, N.Y., near Watertown, to a place called Pittsford, N.Y., near Rochester, in 1812. He afterwards moved to West Henrietta, N.Y., about 8 miles from Rochester. I do not remember ever meeting Grove (5).

I noticed the other day when I was in Waterford, in the County Clerk's office that my grandfather Chandler (5), sold some property in 1806, to a man named Bronson or Brunson, of West Rutland, N.Y. This may have been his "nephew-in-law."

"Chandler Maltby was above 6 feet high," writes Henry F. Malt- by, of Brighton, Michigan.
