"to Central, New York; at the age of 17, married Samuel Maltby, he died in 4 years, also her first born child, a son." (It is a long article but I have never seen it).

V.315. Jonathan Maltbie, bapt. April 12, 1801, Norfolk (Zach.4, Dan.3, Dan,2, Wm.1). He married Ann Brown. (Hist. of Erie Co., N.Y., Vol. I, p. 553)

"East Evans (Jerusalem) was settled by Zacheus Maltby and his son Jonathan, in 1815."

V.317. Phebe Bartholomew, b. 1778 (Thankful 4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. Amos Adams and lived to a good old age in Erie Co., N.Y. No children.

V.318. Jehiel Bartholomew, b. Apr. 8, 1780 (Thankful 4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. Sept. 22, 1800, Jerusha Maltby, dau. of Zacheus (4). He removed from Branford to New York State and later to Michigan. (For children see Jerusha (5) Maltby. Double line of Maltby descent).

V.319. Sabra Bartholomew, b. 1784 in Conn. (Thankful 4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. Noah Willis. Died in Erie Co., N.Y., child- less, about 1870, aged 86. She brought up her niece, LucyBartholomew.

V.320. Isaac Bartholomew, b. Apr. 14, 1794 (Thankful 4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). He mar. Bessie Gassie. Resided, East Evans, N.Y. Had six children. (Names not known).

V.321. Thaddeus Maltby, b. Jan. 15, 1779 (Benj.4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. May 18, 1809, Elizabeth Hall, of Wallingford. He died Jan. 13, 1873, and his wife died July 9, 1870. He joined the church at Northford, June 7, 1840.

The compiler owns a daguerrotype of Elizabeth Hall Maltby. Her husband was first cousin to the compiler's great-grandfather, Augustus Williams Maltby. The picture belonged to her son, William Hall Maltby, and was presented to me in 1904 by his widow.

V.322. Benjamin Maltby, b. Nov. 11, 1780, bpt. June 25, 1782, (Benj.4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. April, 1811, Wealthy Chittender. He d. Aug. 18, 1834, of the cholora. (Bible Rec.) They had no children.
